Our Tarana

School Tarana (i.e. School Anthem) was written by the famous poet of Sambhal, Late Tasleem Ahmad (Tasleem Sambhali). The tarana is full of constructive zeal and seminal willpower.

Hum Daur-e-Juhalat Ko Duniya Se Mita Denge, Ye Aag Hai Taleemi Har Dil Me Laga Denge, the first stanza of tarana serves as the prime motto of Al-Qadeer Institutions. The tarana is in the Urdu language, which in Persian script runs as follows:

مرحوم تسلیم احمد تسلیم سنبھلی

ہم دور جہالت کو دنیا سے مٹائیں گے
یہ آگ ہے تعلیمی ہر دل میں لگا دیں گے

We will completely wipe out the era of ignorance from the world,
This is the fire of education, we will ignite it in every heart.

اس قصر میں تم آؤ بے لوث چلے آؤ
کانٹوں سے بچا کر تم پھولوں میں قدم لاؤ
اب اپنے وطن کو ہم پھولوں سے سجائیں گے
یہ آگ ہے تعلیمی ہر دل میں لگا دیں گے

Come into this palace, come completely selfless,
Protecting yourself from the thorns, step onto the flowers.
Now we will decorate our homeland with flowers,
This is the fire of education, we will ignite it in every heart.

اے بچوں ذرا دیکھو سکھ چین کے نینوں سے
اسکول سجاؤ تم ارمان کے گہنوں سے
تعلیم کے گلشن کو مہتاب بنا دیں گے
یہ آگ ہے تعلیمی ہر دل میں لگا دیں گے

O children, look around with eyes of joy and peace,
Decorate your school with the jewels of your dreams.
We will turn this garden of education into a bright moon,
This is the fire of education, we will ignite it in every heart.

اقبال کا کہنا تھا اور کہتے تھے حالی بھی
مٹ جائے زمانے سے ہر سمت کی تاریکی
یہ شمع وہی ہے ہم ہر گھر میں جلا دیں گے
یہ آگ ہے تعلیمی ہر دل میں لگا دیں گے

Iqbal used to say this, and Hali used to say it too,
That darkness should be wiped out from every corner of the world.
This is that very same candle, we will light it in every home,
This is the fire of education, we will ignite it in every heart.

اس دنیا میں سرسید کا نام نہ کیوں ہوگا
آغاز ہوا جیسا انجام نہ کیوں ہوگا
آزردہ جو کلیاں ہیں ہم ان کو کھلا دیں گے
یہ آگ ہے تعلیمی ہر دل میں لگا دیں گے

Why would Sir Syed’s name not endure in this world?
When the beginning was so grand, why would the finale not be the same?
The flowerbuds that are withered today, we will make them bloom,
This is the fire of education, we will ignite it in every heart.

اب پھر سے ہوئی دنیا ہمراز ادیبوں سے
گونجے گی زمانے میں آواز ادیبوں کی
ہر گھر کا اب ہم اسکو سلطان بنا دیں گے
یہ آگ ہے تعلیمی ہر دل میں لگا دیں گے

Once again, the world has become a close confidant of the scholars,
The voice of the intellectuals will echo across the world.
Now, we will make it the sovereign king of their own home,
This is the fire of education, we will ignite it in every heart.

یہ علم سکھاتا ہے تعظیم زمانے کو
اس علم کی خواہش ہو تسلیم زمانے کو
تسلیم کے نغمہ سے ہم شور مچا دیں گے
یہ آگ ہے تعلیمی ہر دل میں لگا دیں گے

This knowledge teaches respect and honor to the world,
May the world accept and yearn for this knowledge.
With the melody of Tasleem, we will create a roaring echo,
This is the fire of education, we will ignite it in every heart.
